Have a eg hatch si model with only a driver seat dash has been cut (prob 3lbs now) no heat ac or ps components at all all windows are lexan except front and back windshields and most of the spare sheet metal inside is gone minus the pillars near the front sunroof has a sheet metal plug from ccc of the car so

It weights 2100 with me in it and I want to get closer to 1800 any recommendations??

Soon to come will be
Fcs fuel cell Lexan front and back windshield Franks custom fiberglass hatch Ks front drag brakes Within 6 months ks rear trailing arm setup

Any advice on hitting this weight goal things I can cut out ext or is there a weigh to get lighter than 1800? I have heard some cars weighing in at 1600 without tube chasis? have pics that I will post later

Either your bathroom scale is off or the scale you are using to weigh the car w/ driver is off.

2100 lbs gutted, with lexan, cut doors and 160 pound driver is way off.

Get an aluminium seat, the recaro's are typically pretty heavy. Probably save 30-50lbs there alone.

The firewall is 2 layered. Remove the in cabin layer, also there will be a significant amount of sound deadening between firewall layers. Also the undercoating and seam sealer from under the car, including wheel wells really add up.

Yes it is spot welded in many places, you will also have to cut in a few areas as well. If you drill out the spot welds, try not to swiss cheese the engine bay from inside the car lol.
