2002 EX V6 Horn Not Working
Actually, it does work BUT only if I arm the alarm (audible confirmation of doors locking). When trying to use the steering wheel the horn does NOT work.
I suspect the switch under the steering wheel/airbag cover is the issue. But I do not want to mess around with the airbag trying to fix the horn if I don't have to. Push comes to shove I'll take it to my independent Honda mech but would prefer not to spend the dough.
SO, would there be anything else that would cause the switch in the steering wheel to not work like the horn relay or something else?

Power to the horns come through the same horn relay whether it is from the steering wheel horn switch or for the security system. So, it probably is not the horn relay or the fuse that protects the horn relay.
When the steering wheel horn switch is pressed, it supplies the ground for the horn relay, which energizes the relay (normally open relay) to close the relay contacts and allow power to the horns. The problem can be the steering wheel horn switch or the wiring that runs from the horn switch (which goes through the cable reel to the passenger under-dash fuse/relay box) to the horn relay located in the under-hood fuse/relay box.

UPDATE!!
The audio controls on the left side of the steering wheel have been intermitted. Tonight I tried them and they work...along with the horn! When those controls aren't working neither is the horn. Strange that.
May change the audio control switch cluster and see if that fixes it.
