Default Oil Pressure issues...

Hello everyone. I hope someone here can help me out I recently put new rings and bearings in my f22a1 and stuck the engine back in got it running and once it warms up oil pressure drops below 10.i put a new pump on and pressure stays up til I drive at about 70 for 30 minutes and at idle it's at 7 but 3000 rpm it's above 50. I put in a jdm dohc f22b same thing put new bearings and pump all same. I used a mechanical Guage and a digital readout no different. I also left the balance shaft belt off and changed the oil restrictor oring in both engines. What am I missing here? Please help..

Would adding a oil cooler help this? Seems like the oil is getting hot and dropping pressure I'm using 5-30 oil and it's cold outside.

Is the oil light coming on ? I would probably put the oem style oil pressure switch back on and see if it is before I completely believe that gauge that is somehow having two separate engines showing bad oil pressure.

Also, min should be 15 or so but by 3k 50 psi sounds fine.

I'm leaning towards the gauge either being off or you're somehow reading it incorrectly.

Is it possible that the oil is too thin? Should I be running 10-30 or 10-40?

Check your compression. I'm wondering if your rebuild is somehow flawed. You might get more help in the technical forums.

Compression is good and I can't get any help in tech forums.. Do you think a oil cooler will help and 10-30 oil? Instead of 5-30

All that will do is make the oil thicker when cold 10 Winter(cold) weight, but as the engine warms up it will be 30 weight.

Does your original oil light switch leak oil? If it does it may be faulty.

Old rule of thumb is 10spi for every 1000rpm.

What were the clearances on the new bearings you put in? You did check the clearances, right?

Original did not leak. Light come on after driving for a while at highway speeds.. Clearances were within specs rods were about .0015-.0017 max says .0020 same with mains.. I have this on 2 engines.. F22a1 and jdm f22b dohc.. Same specs new king brand bearings etc. Used a mechanical dial Guage and digital Guage to make sure it wasn't just the factory sensor causing it. Seems like it's only when the oil gets hot cause it will be above 10 when you drive at low rpms for a while.

Is there any part of the oil system I'm missing? I've changed the oring for the restrictor under the head oil pump, bearings and the guages... I'm lost

Could it be the bearings? I used king in both not the colored bearings... I just read about them apparently they are different thickness on them and the ones I used were all the same...

How thick could I shim the oil pump pressure relief to raise pressure? I read you could do that and help a bit? Would 1/8 washer work?
