97 Gsr Tailight and interior Light issue
Whats going on HT? I recently purchased a 97 Gsr.(Due to some advice from Tight-r). So the guy who owned it before me had a mess of cables and wires due to having a "massive System" in the car. Also along with those wires he did a lot of BS "Hard Wiring". So a problem I'm having is that the tail lights and instrument cluster lights don't turn on when i turn on my running lights. He has a cable running from the fuse box which is connected to one tooth of a 10v fuse and there is another cable connected to the other tooth and that cable goes all the way to the trunk and is somewhat rigged into the tail lights. Connected to the cable which is running to the trunk are two more cables... a Blue one and a Red one, he connected them together to get the running lights to work and disconnected them to shut the lights off... I Had the same problem before on my previous 94 ls... and it kept burning through fuses, but i just kept putting in new fuses and then it finally just started working... I will post pictures up Tonight.
yup what he said^^ take out all the wires that aren't stock and from there you will probaly find out the problem, check fuses also i had a problem on my ls where dome light wouldn't work,so i replaced a fuse and it works fine now!

Still haven't had the chance to work on the light issue, but currently my turning signals went. I changed the fuse on the underdash fuse panel but only my hazards began working again. Any ideas what this could be?
Fuse #26 is for the signal lights, [under dash fuse box].
Fuse #43 is for the hazard lights, [engine bay fuse box].
If the hazard lights work, all blubs/wiring/flasher are good and problem with signal lights is before the hazards switch or the switch itself, pull switch and test the yellow/black lead for power when ign. switch is on, if you have power, replace the switch, if no power check for power at the fuse with ign. on, [fuse #26], if no power, replace the fuse box, if there is power find "open" between the fuse box and the hazard switch.
Because there was an aftermarket stereo, chack and make sure the red/black,at the stock radio wire harness, is not shorting or connected to anything, fuse #19 is for the park lights and instrument lights, test for power ar the fuse. 94
