Tunerview II
Sup guys, I just need a little help making a decision (yes I know its really up to me if I want to or not) but I just want to hear some opinions/reasons. I'm trying to decide if I want to purchase a tunerview II unit (not looking at another monitoring unit at this time) I dont like to run 5 different separate gauges. As of now I only have a mechanical oil pressure gauge and I had only considered getting a afr gauge as well.
The tunerview II has all that and more in a compact box that you can mount anywhere, I'm trying to decide if its worth buying as most monitor stuff isnt even looked at by most drivers only when something feels weird. My engine is setup to make 400-600 (turbo ofc) and I will be daily driving (for the most part) as well as competing in local events for fun.
I'm using Demon program so after getting the interface module as well I'm looking at $204 for the unit, just getting a NGK wideband alone cost more than that, and a AEM is around $160, add a boost gauge thats about $80 for a decent one. So really it's cheaper to just get the TV II but I'm just up the air about is it really worth getting?

Personally I think it's essential for high power applications. Every moment you're scanning each gauge is a moment you're not watching the track, or the other gauges.
Just one quick glance at the screen and you know all your parameters, and if it's positioned well you can spot trouble out of your peripheral. When **** hits the fan, it can be a lifesaver.

I bought into Neptune in 2008 and have had nothing but good things to say about the person who created it and the additional products that come out. I believe in 2008 it didn't have a real foot hold in the market yet. I like it more than the others. Its well refined and it just works! I have had lots of seat time screwing around with my setup and the software. The software has great features
With that said, I picked up tunerview 2 quite a while ago. I did run into a small issue with updating the firmware on the device but decided to roll back to the original and leave it alone. It's a very nice device.
It doesn't matter if your car makes 1hp or 1000 its a nice piece of hardware. I found it very handy if I noticed a small issue with slight knock at specific areas I mentally took a note of it and because I was able to remember mbar/rpm/ect I could correct this and upload a fix.
TLDR version, it's good and really isn't expensive for what you get.

It's not going to be as useful for real time monitoring in track environment than dedicated gauges, but for tuning and telemetrics monitoring it's pretty handy. I have different screens programmed for different functions - e.g. daily driver, ign. timing monitoring, temp monitoring, etc. It makes tuning easier because you can see what the ECU sees (and up to 8 functions at a time).
