Icon6 swap questions from GERMANY ;)

Hey guys.

it will happen soon, starting my EG project. Base car is a EG5. completely stripped, just the axles, big brakes and the wiring loom are there. Now the big Q -> Im not able to decide which engine i want to use... 3 choices are possible:

1. B20Vtec ~200hp
2. B20Vtec Turbo ~300hp
3. B18C4 Turbo? ~300hp
4. K20 ~220hp

I just want the best bang for the buck. I work at honda R&D and have access for data sheets, OEM parts and stuff like that, this will help a lot I HOPE. Here in germany, we simply DO NOT HAVE this part situation like in the states, there is actual no honda tuning scene... My budget is around 3500€. We have 93,95 and 101 octane at EVERY gas station here.

A fine b20vtecNA build will cost around 2500, a b20vtecTurbo/b18c4turbo ~3000€, and the Kswap is still the most expensive one.. so plz guys tell me which one is the best performer for my budget

regards from Frankfurt

A K-swap is costly, even in the US, likely more so in Germany. A B18C4 turbo while initially costing more than a B20vtec turbo and making a less torque will probably hold up better in the long term for not a lot more money. Out of everything listed that would be my choice.

id go with a b18 preferably a gsr for price and strength you can turbo it for around $3000 usd so thats more like $2100 euro? the gsr has best power and longevity potential adding to that b20 parts are hard to find because you are stuck totally in the aftermarket for power adders where as with a gsr you can safely run many of the parts while maintaining good power

300whp on stock b20 sleeves lol not happening for long, the c4 is probably the best bet 10:1 c/r and better sleeves/rods then the b20
