Default Having weird problems w/ stalling, anyone know whats wrong?

My auto 91 4dr is having some weird problems. Sometimes, I'll be at a stop, then when I give it gas, either 2 things happen:

1. It makes a loud "pop" then stalls briefly then sometimes comes back to life

2. You know jerky manual stalls? That's whay my auto does, and the battery light flashes with every jerk... then when I thought it was off, I tried to restart but it wouldnt turn over, then after I was trying to restart it, it just came back to life

In the past month I've have a full tune up, and had my timing set back .2 deg
It happens both when the car is warmed up and when it isn't.
This is really starting to worry me, does anyone have any ideas as to what could be wrong?

Thanks in advance

Sounds almost like a fuel problem.. And if that's the case, can't help you on that.. But if get more info on the problem, I could probably try and diagnose it for you..

Well, aside from that weird stalling thing that happens sometimes, my gas mileage SUX... I'm only getting about 300km per TANK... I've had the gas filter changed too. That's only about what, 190miles per tank???
I have no idea what's causing the terrible gas mileage

almost sounds like you are getting too much fuel into the engine and it is stalling it out at low rpms. maybe some bad injectors or something. hope this helps. i get 33mpg in my crx with a b16 so something is definitely wrong

Other than the injectors, what else could it possibly be?
