Default fuel meter problem help ???

im not sure if this is a problem or its just a normal thing. my fuel meter goes up and down when accelerating and decelerating. my tank is 3/4 full when accelerating (entering highway) i can see the meter stick (whatever that white thing is called lol) goes to 1/2 full line in the meter and eventually slowly goes back to 3/4 again. just wondring if this is normal because it drops real quick. but when driving in street, it does drops down but not as fast as when im acceerating onto the highway. oh ya btw, i drive a 2000 Civic SI (Canadian Version) only has 36xxxkms. runs 91 octane chevron and mobil 1 10w30 synthetic. ( i hope thats enought info)

it is just your floater moving up and down as the gas sloshes around from accelorating and decelorating.
