no crank no start. starter?
i've been having the no crank no start problem on a 94 ex for a while now. the thing im not quite getting is so far it always starts it'll just click and thats it for anywhere from a couple tries to 20 minutes. i took the starter and got it tested at both autozone and orielly's and it passed. when i put the starter back in the car it cranked up now problem for the rest of the day. got in today and the problem resumed. is this a selenoid issue or is it in the ignition somewhere? i just dont understand why it works eventually if theres a problem somewhere. its a standard so the first thing i did was check the ignition switch down where the clutch is at and even extended it a lil. no change. this is my commute vehicle and i need to straighten this out but im on a budget and cant afford to just replace everything until i get it.
any help much appreciated.

When the starter doesn't crank, test to see if there is battery voltage reaching the starter solenoid signal terminal. You need someone to turn the key or use a remote starter switch or the like. Is there even a loud click?
If voltage is there everytime you turn the key, get a jumper cable. Connect one side to negative terminal of battery, the other end to the starter housing. If it fires up, check your grounds.
