Give Synchrotech a call, they might be able to help you. Or just do it the cheap and easy way - clean the contact surface with rubbing alcohol, and duct tape it.

OR..and this is just a thought...you could drain and recover the fluid before you pull the axles...replace/reuse as you see fit on reinstall. also, paper shop towels with some trans fluid in them work as temporary plugs is you are gentle with the seals. unless of course you have no intention of reinstalling said transmission... which in that case..ignore me entirely and have a beer.

EDIT: as an added thought...you could always just tear apart a pair of crappy old axles and just use the appropriate end of the axle as a functional seal.

Call a machine shop or engine rebuilder. They usually use lots of those plugs. I think places like harbor freight sell them in various sizes.

Just refill it... it's 30$ for 3qt's of MTF don't be cheap, or if you own an older one 17$ for a 10w-30 5l jug...

We bought our set of plastic plugs in our Automatic transmission part store supplier.

^if you didnt have leakage your low on trans fluid.
its not the wasting of oil its the mess of oil that gets on things. plugs to clean a case or paint a case or transport a trans etc.

aquafina said that he uses a lint free paper towel and puts it in or rubber nub things from the bottom of chairs.
thanx everyone
