Default b20 with itr crank piston to deck??

Going rebuild my jdm b18c type r and was thinking of goin with a b20 block and using the itr crank have b18c eagle rods for it aswell. Was going to use wiseco 84.5mm pisons with a 2cc dome the only think is when I type my measurements into the zeal calculator its telling me il have a .013 piston to deck height that is with out the block being decked would that be safe to run as I intened on using pro2s or could it cause problems. Or am I best or using my itr block nd putting some wiseco 81.5mm 8.25cc dome pistons in.

That 0.013 measurement indicates that the piston is still in the hole at TDC. That means that the deck surface of the piston is below the surface of the block. Your piston to head clearance will be good. However, you will still have to clay the piston to make sure the piston to valve clearances are good.

Make sure you get a good tune with the stock b20 sleeves

Ye have a good tuner. What piston to head heigh should I aim for as was thinking of taking a skim off the head and block to get it to around 11.8:1 to 12:1 compression also see je do 2.8cc dome pistons so think they would be a better option

For strength and reliability I'd use your ITR block! why waste time with the B20 block which has thin sleeves and no piston squirters not to mention no girdle! All you're gaining with the B20 block is 3mm of bore, which ain't chit.

Go with your itr crank, rods and pistons in the ITR block man!

I didn't think you need piston oil squirters when using forged pistons. Z10 makes a girdle for ls and b20 blocks

I both agree and disagree. I would only use a B20 block if you were going to run a 2L build. The walls are THAT thin, pay money for a good tune. Otherwise as stated it is rather pointless.
You don't need oil squirters, so don't worry about that. I'll take oil pressure any day.
Aftermarket girdles are all they are cracked up to be. The machine shop the line hones/bores it needs to be VERY particular our it will put excess pressure on the snout of the crank.

Thanks for the in put think I going to stick with the b18 block use wiseco 81.5 8.25cc dome piston get the compression up to 12:1 run bc spec iv cams few bolt ons and as u say get a good tune already have a neptune maped ecu from when it was standard and the tuner is one of the best in ireland for maping hondas.
