Hey guys, getting close to finishing up my b18c R swap on my 90 hatch. One issue I currently have and am having a hard time finding is how to make the cable speedo work. Trying to use my VSS out of my base 4 speed hatch does not work in the new lsd hydro tranny. Anyone who has done this swap and kept their oem cluster please help! Thanks

Have no personal experience, but I see from other threads that the Gera holder from a DA Integra works.

Your original D16 one should work, if not get one from a d16 5 speed.

 

thanks, i assume thats what you did for your crx? i have the standard (4speed vss now and it the gears are way different and won't work in the type r tranny. any idea if the integra da vss will work instead of the si/dx? I'm having a hard time trying to locate one, and have found 3 integra on ebay. thanks

 

D series gears are plastic. B series are metal. It'll probably work but I would find one from a cable b series transmission.

 

I did this a very long time so I don't remember all the details. You can take them apart and use the gear part that works with the transmission and the upper part that works with your stock cable.
