Like the title states, I'm looking to re-do the seats in my car. I was going to put the recaro gradant material down the center and black suede on the bolsters and upper area.

When I purchased my car it came with a small amount of the material, not enough to do what I want.

Anyone know where to buy this stuff?

 

eBay. Recaro doesn't sell the cloth separately, so whatever you buy will be fake, but whatever - it's just cloth.

 

Yea, I was looking on eBay and the only way to get it apparently is to source it from china. They say it's a 7-8 day shipping but I'm not 100% on pulling the trigger just yet. Has anyone bought from across the pond? Aside from your local jdm importing shop?

 

It has to come from China for legal reasons. Any company in America (or Canada, or the EU, or anywhere that actually respects copyright law) would get sued into oblivion if they made it.

I've ordered a handful of things from banggood, which is well known for selling stupidly cheap, Chinese-made knockoff "stuff", and shipping has usually taken between 4 and 6 weeks.

 

China shipping sucks, ordered myself a full hardware engine bay kit (washers, bolts, etc) knock-off pw jdm kit an it literally took over 2 months. Not to mention when I got it was garbage, and I resold it for 50% of my cost.

Fabric shouldn't be too different though. If I were you id probably buy it.

I mean if this is the only way to get the material, I guess I have no choice. I'm not being cheap, but apparently this is the only way to get this stuff.

Why on ebay does it say 7-9 days for shipping? LOL that kinda makes me giggle, because I know importing takes a wee bit longer than that.

 

That's a best-case estimate. With the number of factors that affect shipping over-seas, any shipping estimate is a joke.
