Icon3 quarter panel damage... need inputs

Hey guys need your help. I bought this 95 gsr integra for 500 and I'm paying out of pocket to get this fixed on monday but my question is can I fix this myself and cheaper than what I'm gonna pay? I understand the rust I'll have to sand it down and bondo it, but the dent on the bottom... would I be able to pull that out or be best to bondo that too? I'm not a body guy so I need all the help and input I can get. Thanks.

Not if you want it done right.
That B pillar is damaged the dent is not from an impact but a deformation when the B pillar was hit. Has the door has been replaced already? Problem with an impact like this is it can tweak other parts of the body if it is severe enough. If the door was replaced you can see how much the pillar/1/4 has been pushed by closing the door and noting the gap between door and pillar.

Note between the door latch and door switch on the pillar are, see those creases.

It has been hit and slightly twisted, this twist from the impact pushed into the 1/4 panel skin and it cupped into the dent you now see. The impact also flattened and pinched the door jamb seam.

The other problem with this car is it has already been repainted once, badly. Note how none of the trim was removed during the color change and the door jambs are still blue and not black. What else in this cars history has happened to it?

Use a fridge magnet, the flat floppy kind, and check the rest of the cars 1/4 panels and roof. If there are any areas that have body damage/filler the magnet won't stick. This would be indicative of previous crash damage.

Evaluate the car as a whole before spending money fixing this one problem before knowing what the rest of the car may be like.

If you have not had the car on a lift, do so. Investigate the chassis itself. If the car was hit by another vehicle on that side the opposite side may have hit a curb and bent a subframe or suspension parts. Or if the impact was from hitting a parking pole there may be unseen frame damage. These two things, compounded with any rust issues, may make the car not worth fixing. Unless you have a top notch body man who is also your buddy.

If the car is mechanically sound and still has the B18C1 it may be worth it to find another Integra and install the GSR bits into a lesser model.

Bondo is not for fixing rust or covering dents, it is for finishing up minor imperfections and smooth out the final surface. Anything more than 1/16" is too much bondo, the panel could be pushed out further if it requires more than a skimming of bondo.

@mad mike thanks for that. To be honest I haven't taken the car on a lift to actually look at the whole car. I will have to do that because it makes me nervous. Worst case ill just take that motor and put it into a shell... At least the motor and transmission is in good shape. I replaced the door and it looks like its off a little bit, like its a little forward by maybe a 1/8th a inch. Yeah that black paint job is crap too and has little dents all over the car. I will post on here when I get it on a lift and see what I see.
