Hey guys, I have been having a weird problem with my 98 CX hatch. Its a mini me swap with intake. The problem is sometimes that car will start and stall out. It occurs most when the car is up hill or uneven. At first I thought it was battery or battery connections but I got the battery charged and new connections. It has happened allot recently.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Only thing that has to do with slope starts or uneven ground starts,
Something in fuel system I believe.
Possibly clogged lines, bad fuel pump.

 

That's what I thought as well. I tried just priming the system a few times before I would start it on a slope n it was a little better. But after its started and I give it a little gas its fine.

 

Check your fuel pressure.
If priming helps, maybe a bad pump or dirty fuel filter

 

Distributor cap, maybe? I don't know.

 

keep a half tank of gas or more at all times? I too am having this issue on slopes. it just started and im below a half tank, never had this issue prior to being so low on fuel. just a suggestion.

 

Take the fuel pump out clean the little net/filter thing and look inside the tank for rust or trash in there

 

Sounds like your fuel pump is going out, swap it out with a buddy to diagnose?
