Default Damn PO's

I was changing the oil for the first time since I bought the V, and noticed how mangled the factory header is. It has been hacked and rewelded at least 3 times, and there is a crack next to one of those welds. Grrr. Didn't notice it when I bought it as it was dark. My fault.

Anyway, I have been looking around for headers and want to know what replacement headers are best. http://www.ebay.com/itm/OBX-Racing-Exhaust-Header-97-98-99-00-01-Honda-CRV-2-0L-4WD-4-2-1-Style-/181256830551?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3ACR-V&hash=item2a33bfbe57&vxp=mtr My stock header is just like this, not the single downpipe. Or should I just buy a replacement stocker. I am not out for performance, but a little better efficiency would be good.

I did search some, but didn't find a lot CRV specific.

The eBay headers are the best bang for the buck. Far from the best header out there, but you get a lot for your money. You could find a stock one cheaper, but I'd personally go with a cheap eBay header if I was going to replace mine for some reason.

After looking at it some more, I am just going to replace the lower pipe with a stock style pipe. The upper section looks fine, so it will stay.

I don't think the stock one will bolt up to an aftermarket header.

careful, this thread will probably get deleted since you have an eBay link up. god forbid we have questions or try to help other people out with hard to find stuff.

but to be completely honest, i haven't heard anything good about that OBX header. the factory one would probably be the best choice

Sorry Phil, I was trying to say that I will leave the stock upper section of the header, the one already in the V, and get a new stock lower section.

I am not after high HP, and I am in an emissions state, so I will just keep it fairly stock. This is my primary commuter after all.

Really? Delete threads because someone asks about something on Ebay? Sheesh...

Oh. I guess I misunderstood. It sounded to me like your crv came with an eBay header from the previous owner and you were trying to replace the bottom half.
