Icon2 1998 honda accord 2.3l vtec(p1259)

hello, this is my first time using this forum

i was wondering can anyone lead me in the right direction..

i had my tranny rebuilt and now i get a cel with code p1259

i replaced the valve solenoid and i still have the cel

i never had oil pressure issues before they rebuilt my tranny anyone have any ideas? its been 2 months now and its starting to get on my last nerves..

i took it to the mechanics and they couldnt figure it out either..

i had them test all the wires and valve to make sure the voltages are correct and they said everything is fine and we dont know why the vtec isnt engaging

Are all the connectors in properly? Don't just do a half assed visual check and say it's good.

The pressure switch is either damaged, or the wiring is faulty. This is not a code for the VTEC solenoid itself but the pressure switch screwed into the side of the base that the solenoid attaches to. If transmission work was done they may have inadvertently dislodged/damaged the switch/wiring.

Or you could just have low oil. VTEC will not engage if there is low oil/ low oil pressure.
