Icon2 Won't go in gear

My problem is 92 Accord EX only goes into second gear,no matter which gear I put it in. No 1-3-4 or reverse.TCU shows codes 7 and 8,shift solenoids "A and B" circuits open or shorted.Does this mean wires or connections at solenoids are open or shorted ,or another location? Can these be checked with a multimeter or could there be a problem somewhere else? I finally got the no start problem fixed now this. It was shifting just fine before. Can anyone offer advise? Thanks a bunch.

If you were messing with the wiring harness, check the last locations you were moving or working on.

Trace out the shift solenoids and their wiring harness, make sure there has been not damage done to them.

check fuses, there should be one, if its both circuits look look at the schematics and find out which wires they share, and check those
