Default Canadian SI edition?!

Ok. I have always thought my car was an EX. It doesn't have any badges that say EX or SI. But it is Canadian stamped

94 coupe, 4 wheel disc brakes, ABS, Sunroof, D16Z6 but it's an auto

I'm being told the EX models don't come with 4 wheel discs or ABS and sometimes not even a Sunroof... Could anyone clear this up for me?

One good way to see what your car should have is by using a VIN Decoder. That's how I found the true stock tire size for my Canadian EG. There is two free ones, one gives great detail if you google vin decoder. One is decodethis and the other is vindecoder. I've used both without issue. Good tool to see if anything has been swapped on your car sometimes.

Sedan EX-V came with D16Z6 engines. They had ABS and 4 wheel disc.

reason why it doesn't have a ex badge on it, someone probably hate it and took it off for the cleaner look and it not a badge it just a sticker. most if not all them year civic 92-95 were made in Canada heard some rumor some were made in Japan (excluding jdm one) and some down in Texas. doesn't matter what year coupe it is none of them came with abs or rear disc brake except for the 99-00 si, only the the si hatch came with rear disc for 92-95 model. all the ex coupe model came with sun roof i believe i have yet to seen one without it. and yes the ex coupe model does come in auto and manual platform.

My old 95 ex had 4wheel disk brakes. I believe it was an option.

yeah! that might have been a possibilities, i gone through 3 ej so far a 93, then 95, and now 94 all ex coupe model and yet to encouter one with rear disc, although the only real difference i notice is that my 95 civic have a bigger brake caliper compare to my 93 and 94.

Whoever is telling you such things should probably STFU.

USDM 5G Civic EJ1 Coupes had ABS available as an option, and with this option also came rear disc brakes. They always had a sunroof. If it has power windows from the factory, then .... it's a US vehicle, not Canadian. Any other questions?

I'm not trying to start a war here, Just trying to figure this all out. It has power windows. and I clearly have a Canadian sticker under the hood. My title didn't give a sub model so It made me think about it. Thank's for clearing It up.

EG's were built in plants in the US, Canada and Japan. Just because it says Honda of Canada Mfg doesnt mean its a Canadian Market car. Between me and my two friends we have 4 94 Civics. MY two LX sedans were built in Canada, the EX sedan was built in Japan and the EX coupe was built in the US. But, theyre all USDM optioned cars.

Canadian domestic market cars should have Canadian emission stickers under the hood. If you have US emission stickers then you have a USDM car.

Ah, sorry, that was vague that last part I wrote. I meant "Canadian market car" vs. "US market car". Canadian market EJ1s don't have power windows or locks. We got stiffed up here.

Nope, not always. All the sticker does is tell you where the car was manufactured. Some USDM civics were manufactured in Alliston Ontario Canada, Some were manufactured in Ohio, and some sedans were manufactured in Japan. They're all USDM vehicles regardless of where they were manufactured.

^ I think he meant the emissions stickers? If so, these are domestic market-specific.
