Default EG Civic Muffler??

Just wondering if anyone is running a cheaper muffler set-up and is happy with the sound. I have a 93 Si hatch with Megan headers no muffler, all pipe and it's so friggin loud. My pops had the car and just loved the noise. I want a black muffler and saw a few on ebay......any suggestions?? I love the APEXI but can't swing the cash right now. I was thinking about the Vibrant 2.5 Stealth Sleeper Muffler. thx

I'd stay away from Ebay exhausts. I bought a full exhaust off there once and the muffler rusted out within a few years and the down pipe to the header cracked on the weld. I did how ever find a OBX header there and have been using it ever sense and it still looks good.

Just go pickup a Thrush Turbo muffler from your local parts store. 30 bucks and problem solved...

TRAVIS...So you picked up one of these vibrant mufflers and it was loud? A buddy of mine said it sounded good on an evo... I work at an auto parts store and was thinking about a flowmaster or possibly a thrush(get 20% off). Thx guys

flow master and thrush do not belong on a Honda they sound like **** leave them for trucks and muscle cars. I had the vibrant stealth on my DC2 when it was a street car I liked it sounded nice and mellow and looked stock.

Just get the resonator, eliminates the noise a little

Thanx for the info b swapped! I like the stealth look (oem). Really like the clean looks of the black. A buddy of mine has the ApexI black catback to pipe....spendy but sounds and looks amazing! I will definitely grab that set-up if I keep the hatch...^ thanx again for the input

Yes, I put the Vibrant exhaust on my gfs EG sedan with the stock d15 and it was louder then everyone made it seem. It looks good and sounds good just a little loud for a d15.

Yonaka catback system. Less than 300 shipped, quiet and does the job. Perfect budget setup.

Thrush Turbo muffler. $30 at your local parts store. Have it welded on professionally, $30. Done.
