Trouble code 6 on a '95 civic DX
checked for the code when the cel came on a few weeks ago and found it was the coolant temp sensor according to the car. I've just ran a resistance and volt test on the volt supply lead and the CTS today while the car was at operating temp and came out with 5 volts on the supply and 377 ohms on the sensor, both being nearly perfect according to the Haynes manual.
My question is could the lead from the sensor to ecm be bad while the supply voltage lead be fine?
The CTS is a two-pin connection So it seems likely that could be the case.
I have not done a second resistance check just yet for while the engine is cold and that is when the car is having troubles starting. One of those pump the pedal to start issues. Thanks for any help, my fathers taught me a lot involving automotive but I'm nowhere near certified.
If anyone has flow charts or diagnostic manuals they could attach and send that would be helpful. Currently using a Honda Civic/Del Sol Haynes Manual 92-95 all SOHC models.
