Hey guys I got a 1991 integra 4 door bone stock

I have plans to strip it down entirely and build it up ,I wanna out in a 5 speed transmission for sure

You guys have any suggestions on what engine and transmission to put in ?

I thought about just re building my engine and putting in a tranny swap

My engine is currently a B18A1

Any suggestions ? Anything will help

 

What are you wanting the car to do? Then ask, what am I really going to do with the car? I'm not trying to be rude at all. I just see a lot of people do the same old "gonna daily drive/drag/auto-x my car" and not do any of it but insist on having a overbuilt car that isn't living up to its capabilities.

 

I know I ask a lot of question's, just ask B serious, but you've got a few different posts and they're all the same. You've got a long road ahead of you of if really want to swap from auto to manual, that's the easiest way to put it. start out by googling your objective, try tagging honda-tech in your search and you'll find plenty of useful threads.

 

I had an automatic Integra but I traded for a 4 door EG 5 speed. It's honestly not worth the time and money IMO. Just trade or buy a 5 speed to save the hassle. I was thinking about converting but I took the easy way out and got another car.

 

Da are heavy, get a EG hatch, Or 96-98 Civic Hatch, Put a B series motor goodluck, just a thought

 

DC's are "heavy" too but they look 10x better then an eg only civic i'll consider is an EM1 in EBP. OP auto to manual is a pita BUT it is fun if you're into that sort of thing but I'd get a DC shell instead.

 

I'm gonna keep the integra and not putting money into a civic , only like the em1 or the ek9 but are hard to find a clean one
So for a integra just stick to a b18 engine then ?
