Just got a CRX...basic upgrades?
I just bought an '89 CRX and I dont really wanna get into the whole racing scene or whatever but id like to add a little more response and horsepower to it and was wondering what the basic upgrades would be for that.thanks

It'd be helpful to know what model you have, budget, what kind of upgrade you're going to concentrate on (handling, braking, acceleration, etc.).
Basic stuff, for about $900, will give you an AEM cai, header, and catback exhaust. That'll start to get you on your way.
But, the first basic "mod" that you should really do (depending on your mechanical ability) is to check everything, replace fluids, fix body problems (DEFINITELY check your rear wheelwells! - prob. some rust to take care of), and so on. You need to have your car in good shape FIRST, then start with the other stuff. Warning: you may say now that you just want some simple stuff, but once you get started, it kind of sucks you in. Good luck, and have fun with it.

dont forget a high flow cat... catco mabey. some good spark plugs and wires. denso iridiums mabey. as stated before get the car in good running order before upgrading things. Good plugs and wires will help your car run well.

ahha my guess would be I/H/E get some nice suspension some strut bars and some good tires and your set...
