Whats your input? Who likes the idea of superchargers vs turbo?

 

Considering there are only a handful of superchargers available (and most make **** power) everyone normally turbocharges a Honda motor.

There was a thread a few years back comparing a "stock" JRSC kit against a "stock" stage I drag turbo kit on a stock gsr motor

JRSC made more power from idle to 3000rpm, Turbo kit started making more power at 3,000rpm and never looked back... it made more than 150hp over the jrsc kit.

and that was a crappy cast manifold, 35mm wastegate, t04e 57 trim turbo and a 3" downpipe with a front mount intercooler, 2.5" intercooler piping and an FMU

With todays EMS options and turbocharger technology advances, it's easy to see why people pick turbos... The supercharger has basically stayed the same since the 60s, until Eaton introduced their TVS blowers

 

There have been a few successful Frankencharger M62 setups (among others), but as WantBoost said, it takes a simple turbo setup to outpace a decent JRSC setup. They're limited by their size and inherent inefficiency. Apart from the JRSC, what else is there?

 

I use both on my Twincharge civic, SC14 and HE351ve on my d16.
