Cliffs: nut isn't stripped I can still get a socket on it, it just won't tighter or come loose. Any ideas on how to remove it ? it's a pita not to be able to remove the intake manifold. I can't fit an angle grinder down in there to cut it I've tried hitting it with a chisel in order to hit it back on the correct thread ? lol. I've only had the I/M off the car 2 twice in it's whole life so it's not like the stud sees frequent "nut on/off".

Hammer a flat screwdriver behind the nut, with some tension behind it you should be able to unscrew it.

 

The stud itself might be stripped within the head, or the head might be stripped. It happens.
