ok so i just got a 2000 si and i have been checking to whats been changed from oem, and i think my grill (between bumper facia and hood) is not oem. mine does not have an si emblem in it like some i have seen, however i called dealer for oem "si" grill and they say it never came that way. can anyone confirm either way? if it did can someone provide me a part # for it?

As illustrated above. The emblem is removable on the Si and most were. Someone just recently posted a link to a guide that illustrated the differences between the front clips of 6th gen civics, 96-98 vs 99 & 00, hatch vs coupe vs sedan vs Si type of stuff. If I had that link I'd send it to you. I probably should have bookmarked it.

I've seen the si logo on the grill too. I too have an em1 and mine didn't have the si logo. Anyone know where I can get one ?

 

The Si grill "never" came with an Si badge.

That is just people going to dealer, people are just sticking an emblem in there, that's it. Personally, i don't like it

 

I figured that's what they did not saying it was suppose to have one but I was wondering where they got it from. Must be pretty small to fit on the grill eh? Think Honda will have it

 

it's just an oem emblem, it can be had at any Honda dealer

 

Or eBay, or a lot of places. Take 10 seconds and search.

ok thats the answer i was looking for. not that i like or want it i am taking mine back 100% oem as possible. not that i have much to do just little things like that a rarely covered and dealer did not show one so just double checking
