Default Im confused!! and Need help!!!

Alright lets start off I have a 1990 Honda Accord Ex, 180k on it, i learned how to drive a 5 speed 2 weeks ago and i was driving and i hit a median and lost all control over my shifting! got it towed home now its sitting in the garage, i can start my vehicle! i can shift between all the gears and no movement! i don't need to engage clutch too move between gears i know that is odd and i've only been driving 2 weeks

Could it involve my clutch or does it sound like a transmission issue?

Open the hood and see if the shifter linkage is still attached to the tranny. It might have broke loose.

Sounds like your shift linkage got loose. Go to auto parts store and look at a helms manual so you can see where the shift linkage is and how to put it back or just buy the manual, it comes in pretty handy.

Is my differential inside the transmission? Or? I have a Chiltons Manual, I'm just confused on where too connect it! I don't know if it makes a difference but when I put it into reverse I hear a clunk!
