I suck at electrical and I am at my wits end so hoping somebody has run into a similar issue or problem. So I'm going to list everything I have done in order to help diagnose my issue.

September I had issues with car not starting, replaced starter, relay, checked all fuses, ect. turned out it was the clutch switch grommet that broke, replaced that. Car worked fine.

Monday I was working on replacing a leaking clutch fluid line, and after bleeding the clutch fluid I go to start the car hear the starter click once and then nothing, starter would not turn over anymore.

So I am thinking maybe my re-manufactured started went bad... I replaced it still can't get car to start.

Many people said it could still be issues with your clutch switch so I jumped it. Car still won't start. I check all fuses with light tester and all fuses worked accept for starter fuse only lights dimly....

I had a mechanic tell me its my started relay or main relay so I replaced that still same results I'm at my wits end... my only guess is having a grounding issue but it seems like all my grounds are connected as far as i can tell.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well after more testing it appears the "new" starter is a piece of crap. Wasted so much time on this I hope Parts Authority builds better re-manufactured parts than BAP. At least i know its not my electrical system.

 

Hah, you should put your old starter back in since there was nothing wrong with it, in the first place! Well, it was probably 20 years old, so don't feel bad.
