massive vacuum delete??? 1987 honda
Hi, my friends car is having a devil of a time holding idle, and it idles between 3000 and 600 if it's lucky enough to idle haha I did a rebuild on the carb, but it was missing quite a few gaskets, and the main pump rod is gone??
so yeah
A. I need to find a new D15 carb for her car
B. any threads on a complete vacuum line delete?? she only needs a couple, since the car has no AC, I will only need to run 1 line into the cabin, and 1 with T's to the vacuum actuators. also, I need to find a good fuel pump for her car, one that doesn't leak...
any help will be awesome

Spend the extra coin and do the Weber 32/36 conversion. That will come with everything you need AND eliminate almost all of your vacuum B.S.

she doesn't want to spend $300 on it, it's a city beater. unless I go spend the coin on it, (which I really don't haha) are any of the vac hoses mandatory??? or can I just go block everything off??
Well the thing to remember is that removing that stuff from the stock carb will require changes to the carb settings usually. They were designed to run with all of that stuff attached unfortunately. You may be better off going to see a mechanic as well.

I just have never seen, or known a reason for 18-20 hoses to be on the carb...let alone 32 to be in the engine bay, my last car (nissan 300zx) had 2 hoses, brake master, fuel pressure regulator haha

sounds like a massive vacuum leak... put the car on blocks, crawl under and check for the big leaky hoses from the intake manifold... above the alternator.
it's all the hoses on the carb, I don't believe any of the other 32 points are bad, but the carb ones are cracked and what not...I don't see a point of 32 hoses, so after talking about it with her, she decided to get the webber. which leaves me with 32 hoses to cap off/delete haha

Ok, you need the following:
1 line from carb to vacuum advance on distributor
1 line to firewall (not necessary to make the car run, but you mentioned something about vacuum actuators and a T?)
1 line from the carb to the brake booster.
NOTE: Make sure you install a check valve if the booster does not have one already!!!
1 wire for the electric choke.
Hook up the throttle cable and the fuel line and you are pretty much ready to fire it up and play with the settings
(Not very much though. They are pretty close right out of the box. The majority of playing will be getting the mixture exact and then probably a very tiny idle speed adjustment.)
I don't think I'm forgetting anything, but I'm still recovering from too much turkey and beer, so forgive me if I left something out...haha.

yeah, there is what seem to be vacuum actuators under the dash to her heater box, she wants to add AC into the car, how hard is that to do anyway?? im also adding a radio to her car.
You can add A/C, it will require a bit of work though. Not terribly difficult, just mainly time and money consuming. The radio however will be a piece of cake, and probably won't take more than 30min start to finish.

she has a 3.5-4 month old baby, so next summer she wants to get an AC working in the car before then haha now, do all honda's have a radio harness factory?? and antenna??
