Default 86 Honda WagonVan

Having a bit of a problem with my wagonvan...I just replaced the head gasket after sending it to the machine shop, it's back together, it turns over, but there is no fire. How would I know if my timing is 180 degrees out i.e. distributor is keyed in the wrong direction? Seems it can only go in one of two ways. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, JD

Roll engine to where it should be firing on cyl. 1, remove dist. cap. If the rotor points to cyl 1 plug wire then the dist. is right, if it dosent then it is 180* out
