Car won't stay running...
I have a 2000 civic hx with a 2000 integra type r engine and tranny.
My friend sold me the engine and tranny and installed it for me, he was about 97% done with the project but had to PCS to Korea. Since then I have buttoned up the small things and tried to get it to run. It wouldn't. Checked fuses, pump, fuel lines, etc. main relay was bad so I replaced it. Now it will turn over and begin to start but as soon as I push the throttle to keep it going it dies. Engine has never been started since the rebuild. Engine was a daily driver before I bought it off of him...not sure what to look for now. Please help

Just start from the top. You need 3 things to get it started, fuel, fire, and compression. Is fuel being delivered to the combustion chamber? Are the spark plugs firing? If so, check compression. This will isolate your problem area and allow people on here to help you more.

OP confirm spark+fuel then you can move forward and dig deeper.
I'm getting air and spark. I'm not getting fuel...I'm getting power back to the sending unit but not to the fuel pump. If I pull out the main relay and jump terminals 1&7 and 5&7 the fuel pump will come on and prime, but that's the only time it will come on...is there something between the main relay and the fuel pump that would break the circuit and keep power from getting to the pump.
