95' Del Sol build
I had come across a 95' del sol last year. The previous owner (who I personally know very well) drove it everyday as his commuter car to work. The car had a lot of miles on it however, all highway miles. He was going to scrap it for $300, but told me if I could get it running it was mine; for FREE! Took him up on the offer. The timing belt had snap, but as the motors are built there is a far amount of room between the valves and head so no damage was done. Replaced the timing belt, was going to replace water pump but didn't need to because it was in good shape. Car runs great, never has leaked a drop of anything! Super dry engine bay. It's an S model so it has the D15B motor (non-vtec). I'm looking to build this car as its my project. I'm thinking of doing a full b16 swap or just keep the original motor doing a full master rebuild mini me swap. what do you guys think? Open to opinions!
B16=Overrated/torque-less if you're going to put something in there I highly suggest a b18/B20V(if built right). What's your budget ? a boosted d-series can net you around 200whp for about the 2K area just over/under. Or K-swap it
