Default At what RPM is the water pump more efficient?

i want to know this cuz i was thinking that usually water pumps are not as efficient at high RPM compared to low RPM, this is on stock engines off course, oo and i wanted to know after i race which RPM should i stay for the engine to cool? 1500 RPM maybe?
i don't know anything about honda water pumps, and i would like to know a lil

TIA

EDIT: i forgot, its a F22B2 engine (accord LX 95)

Waterpumps at high RPM experience this thing called 'cavitation'. It's the creation of little tiny bubbles of air in the coolant mixture that impede heat transfer (thus cooling). You shouldn't worry about the water pump not being able to cool enough....just having a bigger radiator if you have heat problems. Which you shouldn't with a stock motor. If you were road racing, having an underdrive pulley might help. But, quite honestly, few ppl need them if there radiator-setup is right.

You should just idle normally with your hood open after a hard run. Were'd you hear about idling at 1500rpms?

well, i don't need a better pump, i was just curious.
I've heard that from a lot of old people with old cars and stuff, and is kinda the same. because at around 1500 RPM there is a larger movement of water compared to idle. but i don't know, i'm asking this question cuz of that, is kinda funny that when i race and maintain high RPM (from 4k to redline most of the time) the engine tends to run cooler, and i was thinking if honda's pumps are better for high rpm and stuff like that, thanks for the info, and if you have more keep em coming.

Yeah the old school people will tell you that beacuse a lot of them were used to having belt driven fans so they'd run the engine faster to help it cool. In our case, electric fans, no worries. The stock cooling system is very adequate to cool the engine...

so if i run the engine for a long period of times at high RPMs do i have to worry about cavitation? or the engine does fine as long as it gets air?
i want to know cuz i sometimes maintain high rpm and high speeds for a long period, and i want to know if i have to worry for something specifically? by the way the engine is stock, thanks

Yep..no biggie, it will cool itself down.
BTW how much a bigger radiator cost?
I am thinking of getting one..b/c of the header...
