Default compression test on pulled motor

I know that this was covered in previous threads, but they don't specifically tell me how to. so if anyone can help me find out how to do a compression test with the engine pulled, it would be much appreciated. thanks

jump the starter with 12V for 3/4 cranks, you'll need the trans too tho(obv) not a short block. at least that's the way I've done it.

won't be fast enough compare to what the starter turns it at you'll leak compression before you get a full stroke

it's not practical compare to the speed(rpm) the starter does it at.

leak down is what i would do, it will show more than a comp test. you can also close all valve in set cly and tape a pc of toilet tissue to side of oil dip stick amd lay over top see if air comes out (bad comp ring) or check for air threw oil cap same way
