Default 2.5" cat solution

a few weeks ago I ordered my WS2 exhaust, and skunk2 tri-y(alpha series) Im looking for a solution to stock cat, I have yet to find an ITR (jdm) cat which is my first preference, what are my other options? I ordered a magnaflow hi flow while waiting for the other parts to get here, it arrived first and is stock piping; could i cut the piping use the cat? or are the cat internals going to choke it no matter what

before suggesting test pipes, I have one coming w/ the header /exhaust but would really rather use a cat, i dont like black butts and I can not tell a lie.

I have the blox adjustable, but don't want to run w/o a cat.

I know there are cel fixes available, just don't want to risk the fine for no cat.

I have almost the same set up as you. I'm running a full WS2 cat back and DC tri-y. I have a magnaflow 2.5" highflow too. To mount it I just cut the flanges and added about 3/4 of an inch on each side of the cat and then remounted the flanges. It was super easy and if you dont have the equipment to do it just go to midas its an easy fix.

Both bungs, is yours OBDII? I have a 95 so theres only one O2 sensor and it fit right up theres a little wiggle room with the sensor wires atleast there was for me.

I bought a 2 1/2" cat from SMSP (Dave) a couple of years ago.

The JDM cat is 9 nickels shorter (7/8") than my USDM cat.

I bought it for my JDM ITR header, with its 2 1/2" collector.

I put a stack of 9 nickels on top of the SMSP cat, in this photo.
