Default Hasport mounts in crx d16z6 swap

So I need to know if someone has knowledge in this. http://www.jhpusa.com/store/pc/viewP...3&idcategory=0 I ordered this engine mount kit which is for putting in a d16z6 into a crx chassis with a cable transmission. Which is exactly what I'm doing. But the question I have is the driver side engine mount bracket. All I have is the one from my crx. I do not have the z6 bracket. Will the crx bracket still make the motor tilt? Does anyone know if the brackets themselves are different between the crx and the d16z6 driver mount brackets? Thanks in advance. About to install this engine this weekend last thing I want to do is scramble for the correct bracket.

I didn't think you needed mounts for this swap since it was a D-series. The mounts off of the A6 that was in the car, if that's what you had, can be swapped over to the motor. This mounts however, replace the mounts on the motor and there is just a bolt that holds it to the car. The bracket on the motor may be different, that's what these mounts are here to do though. They make it fit.

Well from what I have read up on the a6 mounts on the z6 in a crx have a "tilt" to what degree I don't know I'm sure it's drivable but I needed new mounts anyways and it sounded like it fixed my problem so why not just get them. I just don't really know what does cause that problem. The mounts or the brackets or both. It's doesn't specify which brackets to use with them. I don't know whole thing may just be getting worked up for nothing but if it suppose to correct a problem I don't want to create a different problem by using the wrong brackets. Guess ill roll with it see how it goes. The are coming in today so I can look at them get a better look.

Ok just did a little research on google and the mounts you ordered are correct and you need to use the engine mount from the z6. If you use the mount from the a6 you will have the tilt/sag bc the obd0 block is slightly different than the obd1/2 blocks. Hope this helps man and good luck with the swap..

When you bought the z6 swap did it come with the engine mount on the timing belt side? (the engine mount is the part with the two long bolts that go through the holes on the motor mounts and then you put the nuts and and screw it down) http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...LOCK+-+OIL+PAN Look at part 11 that is what you need.

If it doesnt get there by friday you will still be able to use the a6 bracket until the z6 bracket shows up. You will just get a little bit of a tilt, but I do not see an real problems with running it like that for a few days until the other piece comes in.

You know what you can do is take pictures of with the a6 and z6 on and post it up in this thread for other people to see incase they have the same problem. It could be a nice little write up to verify what you did and the solution.

Yea I will post a picture side by side when it comes in and let everyone know the outcome. I will plan installing it with the a6 bracket to begin with and take pictures of with a6 then z6 brackets. On drive side mount that is. Thanks again and I'll keep people updated. Need to update my build thread as well. Try to this weekend while we install.

Just want to say the A6 and the Z6 blocks are actually very very similar. I've seen many A6 blocks with Z6 heads. That would have saved you some trouble if the A6 block was any good. But you needed mounts. I just hope it all works out.

So now that I am done and installed what this kit I linked lets you so is install a d16z6 into a crx with a cable transmission. You use all of the d16a6 mount brackets except the driver side one under the cam gear. It allows you to get rid of the tilt and also do not have to use the a6 bracket and trim the z6 timing cover to fit. I am pretty certain I could have used all the old a6 mounts and brackets but I'm glad I went this route to keep the motor straight and even though I am running no timing covers it solves the trimming issue if you have the z6 bracket for the driver side.

Weird. I have a Z6 in my CRX HF and I used all the HF mounts and backets on the Z6. I trimmed nothing and I can't see a tilt on the engine. Oh well...
