Im half lost in your question.
Warm the car up fully.
Unplug the IACV plug and get the car to idle at 750 +/-50RPM and jump your service connector under the passenger side kick panel.
If you have an adjustable gun, set it to 0
Place the lead on the #1 spark plug wire and make sure there's no interference.
Point the light down. You are looking to align the middle of the 3 marks with the marks on the timing cover witch is 16. The single mark is the TDC mark for checking mechanical timing.
this^
did you jump the connector OP ? I've never heard of unplugging the iacv tho ? not saying you're wrong just not familiar with that way of doing it.

Sorry this is meant to bring the idle down to 750. Alot of cars I see these days with intake mods ect seem to be idling a bit high, so usually unplugging the IACV brings it right around 750.
does it go?? im looking straight down from my frontend of the radiator.
the 3 thats together, which line is the advance?
14......18
16......16
18......14
