I have a 96 Del Sol and i am having problems with the brakes staying lit. It's not like the other problems i've read where the lights stay on when the car is off. I turn on the lights and it looks like the brake lights are lit the entire time. I feel it's unsafe because the person behind me would not know when i brake or slow down. i replaced the switch and checked the stopper. any other ideas on what it might be?

 

have you messed with the bulbs at all lately? I've seen bulbs melt terminals or even wrong bulbs causing them to stay lit

 

Yea it could be something with the bulbs, but have you check all your wiring? Could be getting corroded or half on half off ****
