Master Window Switch fix
I was having the problematic intermittent window operation on my new purchase. I confirmed the motors were good, which led me to the switch as the problem. I was unable to locate one at my local u-pyll-it yard, so I decided to look up ways to fix it before buying a replacement. I found this video which was a great help and saved me a coin. I'd imagine it's been posted here before, but I guess a fresh link wouldn't hurt.
Nice fix. And yes, a money saver. I bet a little oxidation inhibitor wiped on the cleaned contacts would help, too. I had to replace my whole module a long time ago because I procrastinated on investigating the sluggish response the oxidation buildup was causing. Eventually the buildup shorted out one of the contacts and burned it up.
Rather than sand paper, use an eraser. An older wooden pencil eraser that has hardened a bit is the best. Using sandpaper will remove metal along with removing the oxidization, eraser will remove the oxidization and junk without removing metal. If there was some arcing then use some very fine sandpaper to remove the rough spots.
