I have a DC Sports short ram intake for my 94 Civic and want to buy a 96-00 Civic. I was wondering if this intake would still fit a 96-00 Civic??

 

A 96-00 EX/SI, probably. A DX/LX, hell no.

 

Will fit HX as well

Look at the difference in intake manifolds. It will fit if you cut a hole in your hood and weld so me supports.

 

Depends on what engine your EG has and your new EK has. The D16Y7s (CX, DX, LX) have a down draft, vertically mounted throttle body. The D16Y8s (VTEC EX) and B series (SI) have horizontally mounted throttle bodies. You might be able to get it to fit if you added/deleted extensions and/or elbows.

BTW, it seems adding a short ram to a Y7 causes a whistle on most set ups.

 

So technically a Z6 SRI would work on a Y8? lol

 

Give me a hammer, dremel and duct tape and everything is a universal fit.

Dude, $18 will buy you 4 feet of intake tubing, 2 couplings, 4 clamps, 1 filter, and 2-3 bends on eBay. If you can afford a car, you can afford a new intake.

 

The reason i have a DC Sports intake is cuz i live in California and i need a street legal intake. I already got sent to a state ref for illegal intake. Thats the reason i have the DC Sports intake
