Ok so i've done quite a few obd1 conversions in my time and never had an issue like this. It is a customers car that I did a stock y7 swap on and it runs fine on the obd2a stock ecu but the second you throw the conversion harness and obd1 ecu on it won't start or run at all, and the ecu light is on very dimmly like there is some wiring issues?

also the main fuel pump relay sits there and makes a very strange humming, clicking sound much different than a relay is suppose to make when on, and it doesn't ever stop making the noise either?

I did the ecu re pin from a14 to a12 and pulled the a13 orange wire and even swapped it back just to make sure I didn't mess something up but the same result happened no start, main relay freaking out, dim cel on in the dash.

The customer tried to swap it before I did the motor swap without re pinning it but it ran terrible for obvious reasons, I just don't understand why it wont work at all now?

I even got 3 different ecu's and 2 different conversions harnesses with the same result, the only other thing I haven't tried yet is more grounds but if it was a grounding issue I wouldn't think it would start with the oem ecu right?


Any help or suggestions is appreciated, I'm not new to honda's by any means but this one stumped me

please delete i figured it out after putting a multi meter to all the grounds the one on the thermostat wasn't making a clean connections, fixed it and it fired right up
