Default B18C1 timing belt problems with INT/EX cams.

I have searched and haven't really found what I am looking for. This is my first time doing a timing belt on a DOHC motor. Sorry guys but I am pretty stumped/frustrated and lost at the moment..

I bought my B18C1 with the exhaust cam off by a tooth from TDC. I am want to reset the timing on the motor because I want to get my car tuned and verify if I have REAL SKUNK2 cams or not.

Yesterday while I was working on the car the Intake Cam slipped and right now the intake cam is completely off TDC. Now both cams are off TDC..

I wasn't really thinking so I took a 14mm wrench to the cam gear bolt and turned the INT/EX cam COUNTER CLOCKWISE to try to line up the cams at TDC. After I did this, I was able to line the EX cam TDC and then i tried the same method on the INT cam. I was able to almost line the INT cam TDC but this time the INT cam is off a tooth while the EX cam is at TDC.. It just hit me now that I may have fudged up something by doing this?

What can I do next to get the cams to sit right at TDC now?

do you know if the head was milled or block decked ? that can cause uneven-ness like you're having if the amounts taken off were large enough. had that when I had my head milled a sizeable amount. 2nd thing you can do is get adjustable cam gears. if they are skunk2 cams you'll see S2 on the intake/ex side post pics of cams .

To my knowledge this head was never milled....

I am resorting to just taking off the cam caps and hopefully it can align the cam gears that way.
