Default After Dropping in a pothole VTEC no longer engages

My girl was driving the car at the time.. and im from the caribbean and the Island I live on (Antigua) our roads are sh**t here... Anyways she ran into a pot hole and it was so bad the balljoint broke.. I mentioned this in another post but this was the first time it broke on impact, the other four times it just broke abruptly. This happened on the left side.. now my vtec no longer engages, i asked a few people and they said maybe the oil pan got hit and bent the pickup valve inside, however my pan had a little kink prior and I overhauled it recently like a month ago but wet didnt hit the kink out all the way to avoid the pan from cracking.

It always worked good none the less as the kink was always in it and it shows no sign of additional damage nor does it leak.

My CEL doesnt come on when it reaches the vtec engagement point and limits there like when the solenoid is plugged out for example, it jus goes to the normal revlimit of 8000 rpm... nor does my oil light come on, no i dont have an aftermarket oil pressure meter, simply put the car function as normal but the vtec doesnt engange.. 15 mins prior to dropping in the pot hole it was working fine, never had problems with it soon as i got the car back up the very next day I tried it and no vtec.

Sorry for the lengthy post, just wanted to give u guys a better idea of the situation, and answer some of the questions that were gonna be asked

You didn't even care to put what kind of car you have and given that you say your rev limit is 8000 rpms it's safe to assume you have a b16a/b18c engine or the sort which means this should be in the Civic section or Integra not the Accord section.

First thing to look at is your oil pan/pickup as others have said. If you're revving to 8000 it's likely your vtec is actually working.

LOL.. SOrry bro my bad thought I was in my previous post... I have a CD6 accord with an H22A.. I can rev to 8200rpm because I have in stage 2 cams titanium valve springs and retainers and the head is also port and polished, with a chipped ecu.. so the tuner set the rev limit to 8200 rpm
