New Battery-starter spins-no engine crank
Hello,
Before replacing my battery, the Del Sol electrical items were running slow, i.e. the wipers at first, then digital clock went blank, than the speedometer and tach bounced to zero and back to running speed before hitting and staying on zero till I parked and shut the engine down. No power after that. I figured alternator or battery. Took battery to AutoZone, they recharged the battery to 12.7v and analyzed it with a dead cell. I replaced the battery then turned the key. I got one second of engine crank and then just a spin sound. I assume the starter is spinning. No engine crank.
Any ideas what to look for?
Thanks!

Okay, sorry for not responding earlier. The starter for some reason now cranks the engine. I charged the battery to eliminate low voltage as a problem with the new battery. I bought a KD calibrated ignition tester and checked all spark plug wires. All showed spark. When you turn the start key, sometimes the engine sounds like it wants to fire for the initial first second and then just continues to crank. Thanks
