I have a b18b1 in my CX 96' hatch, and the two top bolts broke off on the driver side engine mount. After I drill them out, I was wondering which method you guys would say would be the strongest for this situation. Helicoil, Time Sert, or Drill/Tap for 1 size up (M10x1.5). I've done research, but most of the threads I've found are a little outdated, just wanted some more recent opinions. Thank you
if you can and have access to timr serts do that. we use them at chevy for 3.1/3.4 when doing intake mani gaskets as there are a few known threads whr. doing that job that like to pull out. hands down 100x stronger than a helicoil
Yes all 3 holes blown out threads on driver side mount smashing every day for last 2 years or so.
With hasport mounts
Hondas dont normally have 500lbs of torque
