Default ecu question and harness verification

Car was stolen and they took a few things not all thank god. Car is a 96 civic dx with b20/b16. Pretty sure its obd2a as well as distributor since i do not see a conversion for the distributor and the wire harness is the original since i see the car used to be auto and the harness is auto. Wire harness was hacked up and ecu was stolen. Got a p06 ecu on hondata s300. My question is if I get a 96-98 civic ex wire harness what jumper harness do I need and do I need to change the dash harness from an auto to manual, will it plug right up or is some soldering in order. Have dash out so no big deal. Trying to find the thread with all the pics and description of swapping what ecu and obd to what car. Since the ecu is obi-1 I'm guessing I know where i need to start. I guess what Im confused about is does the hondata change anything besides tuning parameters but I still need to wire everything up like usual. sorry if Im everywhere with questions. always curious on how stuff works.

standard obd2a-obd1 conversion harness. the dash harness and ecu plugs are the same for auto and manual. well, technically the auto harness has additional wiring, but it plugs up the same to manual stuff.
