vtec doesnt kick
ok ive been having a issue with vtec ive tried many suggestions on the fourms and nothing SOOO im wondering if anyone else has a idea of what it could be
ive tried.....
-checking oil ( duh )
-vtec solonoid cleaning
-new vtec solonoid
-3 different ecus
-checked all the wires its getting the 12v it needs and has the 22ohms resistance
- i made a ghetto vtec controller using a shift light that when it got the rpm signal of 5500 it gave the solonoid the 12v that didnt work
-the solonoid clicks when it gets power
-did a full tune up and nothing
-did a valve ajustment intake was to tight but still nothing
- the wires are in the proper ports on the ecu
i had someone tell me it might be a oil pressure switch so thats next
sooooo if anyone else has any idea please help

First off, VTEC should never "kick". If it does, either it's tuned wrong, or something is seriously wrong.
Second off, there are certain basic pieces of information that are REQUIRED in any tech post. Chassis, motor, mods. List them.
Finally, is your CEL on? Does the car accelerate to redline? If it isn't, and it does, there's nothing wrong with your VTEC.

What engine?
What ECU?
Do you have a CEL (check engine light) on?
If you have a CEL, what are the codes?

B16b head built
With a S80 tranny *lsd
P73 OBD2 ecu
And yes I have tried grounding the solonoid directly to the body and yes I do have CELs on but they are all emission based because the car is straight pipe and I have wideband on the car what I mean by kick is it won't crossover like it use to

B18c1 block
B16 head
the layman name for that is a 'poor mans type-r'
"P73 : 96-00 OBD-2 Integra Type-R (JDM & USDM)"
What harness are you running?
Also, fix your CEL's, VTEC is very picky as to it's operations
