Default leaking vtec gasket after a few days...why,how?

I just replaced the vtec gasket and it started to leak after a couple of days. I put some oil on the rubber gasket like a oil filtergasket. Do i need to buy a new gasket and put it "dry" or do you use a bit of gasket maker?

Seal it with HondaBond.

I had that issue too.

Pull it back off and lap the sealing surface with a sanding block and 400 grit sand paper. Then put it back together after cleaning. Use a little bit of high temp RTV or Hondabond on the sealing surface.
