************need help quick************************************
ok i have replace my oil pan gasket 3 times now and every time it leaks like crazy!!! first question, do i need a gasket or can i use rtv silicone gasket maker? or do i get a gasket and use rtv gasket sealer? i have been using a gasket and rtv gasket maker by accident and i dont know if that is why it is leaking bad, so do i get a gasket and use rtv sealant or do i use rtv gasket maker? please help gotta get it done by tonight!!

are you sure there isn't a crack in the block or the oil pans? i'd start over with a new gasket and sealer first, then go from there.

no both surface are just fine i just dont know if i should use JUST rtv gasket maker OR a gasket and rtv sealant

you should be using Hondabond not RTV gasket maker!!!! That's probably your problem...go to and get some bond...make sure the surfaces on the block and pan are free from any kind of old gasket and make sure not to over tighten the bolts...get a Helms and torque the bolts to spec...should solve all your problems....
