the ac compressor bracket motor mount that is known to break a lot on these cars was broken on mine


see the rubber insert with the 'm' on it? i cannot remove that from the metal bracket

also what about the other piece that is bolted on with the 19 mm nut

 

the insert isn't removable. it is bonded to the metal. you're supposed to leave the rubber on and sandwich the insert on the mount.

 

I filled one with 3M Window Weld and it has been rock solid since.

 

It cures by moisture exposure, so wear gloves. Mist some water onto each layer and it will cure faster.

 

@kyden: that makes much more sense, i see how the es inserts are designed to fit around the oem mounts

i have 2 questions
1) should i get a new oem mount/bracket to put my new energy suspension inserts around?
2) where is it important to put lube? (not just on this one, but all five) i don't want any squeaking
